| Slow traffic for fast and high-speed traffic, can also be referred to as non-motorizedtransport, in general, slow traffic is a mode of transport that the speed is not greater than 15km h-1. Slow traffic travel speed lower, but still occupies a large proportion of the travel modechoice. Slow traffic including pedestrian and non-motorized transport, non-motor vehiclesincluding bicycles, tricycles and electric bike. However, the emergence of electric bikescaused considerable controversy.The electric bike is fast, low energy consumption, pollution, convenient labor-savingmode of transportation, to bring, but also increased the number of traffic problems, such astraffic efficiency, traffic safety, energy issues and environment issues and so on. Which is themost prominent safety issues, as many restrictions on the reasons for its development, andspeed is an important factor leading to the safety of electric bake. Therefore, improving thesafety of the slow transport system, to limit the electric bake speed is particularly important.This paper starting from the analysis of slow traffic characteristics summarized the trafficcharacteristics of pedestrians, electric cars, bicycles and speed characteristics, and thenanalyzed the impact of traffic safety, vehicles, roads, traffic composition and environmentalfactors. Pointing out that the problems slow traffic faced by the traffic safety situation, fromthe policy guidance, planning and design of transportation facilities, traffic organization andmanagement as well as the electric car itself features and other aspects of the causes ofsecurity problems of the transport system.To improve the slow traffic safety from the traffic design point of view, andaccordingly proposed to slow traffic calming design, to determine the design objectives. Andanalyzed from two angles of the design and user traffic calming design flexibility, securityadaptability is the focus of this study, speed and speed discrete as the measure of securityindicators. After analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of various types of calmingdesign patterns and adapt to the conditions, select the Speed Hump, Speed Table, Chicane,Choker four calming model and its detailed design.In order to verify the calming effect, this paper from two angles of the experiment andquestionnaires. By statistical analysis of data collected and questionnaires, the followingconclusions: speed and speed dispersion are closely linked with traffic safety, traffic calmingdesign can effectively reduce the electric bike and bike speed and speed discrete rate; differenttraffic density and electric bake mix rate has some influence on the speed; calming combination of design effects than a single calming measures, and different kinds of measuresin combination are better than the same combinations.Slow traffic calming is an effective measures to enhance safety, design and application ofcalming can reduce or mitigate the slow traffic accidents and the severity of and to improvethe slow traffic safety. |
