Evaluating Dam Monitoring System (EDMS) is an important aspect of dam safety periodic inspection, an important measure to ensure dam safety operation. Synthetically evaluation is a multilevel and multi-criteria complicated problem of analysis and evaluation, it mainly contains four studying aspects: establishment of factors universe, comments universe, weight of factors and results universe.However, EDMS was just be incorporated into regular check on dam safety, many problems still be in initial stage. Many EDMS were isolated and dispersed, haven't make a systematic scientific study.Owing to dam monitoring system (DMS) contains lots of facilities, includes many non-fixed quantitative factors and random and fuzzy elements, so evaluation indicators also have much fuzziness. Therefore, based on the fuzzy theory put forward by Pro.Zadeh, the dissertation established fuzzy synthetically evaluation model of DMS in Guangdong Long chuan Fengshu dam.Summarized the methods, facilities and main evaluating contents of concrete gravity dam safety monitoring; study evaluation indicators of deformation, seepage and consolidation, and automatic monitoring facilities; successfully use the fuzzy evaluation model to quantitative evaluate Fengshu dam. The evaluation system was proved to be exercisable, and fuzzy synthetic evaluation model of DMS is effectual and feasible.
