Recently, with the development of computer technology, the application ofcomputer in internal-combustion engine design and testing make part of the designwork gradually separate from the stage of experience design, which provides a quickand accurate calculation mean for us.The work circulation of a diesel engine is a verycomplicate physical and chemical process, the purpose of the thermal calculation inthe work process is to truly reflect the physical and chemical process of a dieselengine cylinder inner circulation and find out the quantity relation between thevarious factors and performance indexes so as to select the optimized parameters.This text uses the AVL BOOST software to simulate the 4100QBZL diesel enginework process. According to the diesel engine work process computation foundationand the AVL BOOST software computation principle, the diesel engine analogcomputation model is build up. On the base of the working model, the full loadvelocity characteristic of the diesel engine is simulated.The simulated values arecontrasted with the tested values at the same operating condition.The result indicates,the analog data can tally with the empirical datum , that confirmed the model iscorrect. On this basis, The optimized computation of the 4100QBZL diesel engine'valve timing is carried out. By analyzing the influence of the valve timing,the dieselengine' best valve timing is designated .At the same time, the influence of thecompression ratio and the provision advance angle on the diesel engine' combustionperformance are studied.According to the computation result, the structural parameters of 4100QBZLdiesel engine are changed, and the full load performance and emission experimentsare carried out. The result indicates, the diesel engine' economy and powerperformance before and after Improvement are nearly the same, but the emissionperformance is improved greatly. So the Objective of the study has reached.
