With the development of the national economy, more and more fill slope engineering is made in the construction of civil, road and bridge, and its scale is larger. Large gliding thrust force and differential support conditons are characteristic of this kind of slope engineering, and traditional slope supporting method is difficult and expensive. So it is need to do some studies in fill slope, and to explore supporting method to meet the needs of fill slope.The fundus of fill slope is exposure before construction, and utilizing the characteristic of fill slope, the concept of the fundus modeling in fill slope is proposed in this paper. The fundus molding technology is a kind of aiding method to enhance the slope stability, which is derived from many original methods. To integrate supporting method, the new supporting technique of fill slope is formed, which has the features of higher stability and economical construction cost. The original supporting method is changed to meet the needs of the development of fill slope.This paper is based on the method of the fundus molding, and to analyze the cause of land slide along with basal surface. Along with the soil water infiltration and the fine grain material infiltration, the aquitard is formed with certain thickness between filling-up soil and the stable basement. The shear strength of this layer is obviously lower than the filling-up soil, and it is the condition to form slip plane. The purpose of fundus steps is that the distribution of aquitard is changed. Based on the assumption of aquitard, the computation module about fundus steps and antiskid parameter is built. At the same time, the upper and lower control limit value computation methods about fundus steps are proposed. The finite element software ANSYS is used to make numerical simulation analysis . And stability influence is studied while the fill slope with different step width, inclination angle and the step range.Finally, the design contrast is carried on the Chongqing San Hui gangue rocky mountain project, and a good effect is achieved. The analysis process has indicated that the rationality and the superiority of fundus bench method. At the circumstance of assuring stability, Materials was saved, the blasting difficulty was reduced, and the project cost was reduced. It possesses a very good economic benefit.The establishment of calculation model provides a reliable theoretical basis for fundus bench method. And it became a new method of design and fundus molding technology. It has the certain theory and the practical value. But the research about fundus molding, as the expertise, has barely begun. There is still plenty of researching work need to do. It will become the emphasis in the next step research.
