Contactless Power Transfer (CPT) system realizes contactless power transfer from stationary source to movable load via magnetic coupling. It's a new way of power transmission which is safe, reliable and overcomes disadvantages of traditional power transfer methods. In the field of CPT, international research institutes have made great achievements and it's going to be adopted in practical, while in China, it's just at the start period.Doing research on CPT technology meets the requirement of industrial producing and people's life, which is of good foreground. In order to perfect CPT system and realize accurate contactless power transmission, operation data must be collected and analyzed, and real-time control should be used. At present, there is not enough research on real-time control of CPT system, not mention using embedded control technology. This paper adopts embedded technology to accomplish control and watch, which will ensure the CPT system work properly. This research introduces a high reliability, low cost and small volume embedded system to realize intelligent control of CPT system.This paper proposed an embedded control system for CPT based on ARM9. It supplies multi-control within one board, which improved system's reliability.At first, This paper introduces CPT system's running principle, fundamental structure and component functions respectively. Some technical problems are analyzed, such as soft-start control, inverting control and collected waveform display. Requirement of CPT system for embedded control system is then addressed with control system's constructure.Start at mode choosing of embedded processor, power supply, interface, data collection, gate driving, communication and hardware structure are then discussed carefully. And hardware had been designed to deal with soft-start control, inverter control and waveform display.Based on the hardware platform, software key techniques of control system are analyzed, including software developing, embedded operating system choosing, developing environment construction and driving program for main module.According to experiment results, CPT control system based on ARM9 realized all the requirements of CPT system.
