With the large ships as well as electronic information and automation technology and control technology continues to develop, more and more automation of ships, ship power automation requirements have become more sophisticated. In order to achieve reliable operation of the ship power plant, control and management, to improve the automation of ship systems, and international experts have been working to develop a variety of high performance marine power monitoring system. In a variety of electronic technology, as the continuous development of embedded technology and its advantages in control, making embedded technology has been applied in the financial, telecommunications, networking, information technology, medical devices, industrial control, and military fields, With the constant improvement of embedded technology, embedded technology will be the future leader in control technology. Similarly, the embedded technology will be to navigation, marine electrical and ship control power to bring a new perspective. This issue is embedded in the latest technology based on the analysis of power quality parameters of power system problems, according to the characteristics of ship power systems, power monitoring system designed ship terminal, the main engine of the ship power plant voltage, current, frequency, power and other operating parameters, monitoring, and alarm on abnormal situation and respond according to the host command in response to the host system requirements, the host system to reflect the circumstances under automatic analysis, or notify the artificial queries. The innovation of this design lies in the embedded technology to ship power system monitoring, use of high-performance embedded ARM9 processor, combined with real-time Linux operating systems, to design the ship electric power monitoring terminal. The issue is not completely ship monitoring station, it only ships to provide auxiliary power system monitoring detection means. This article is divided into five chapters, the first chapter introduces the internal and external in ship power plant and ship power monitoring system of the development process and prospects. The second chapter describes the composition of the power system and power quality analysis, it follows that the need to ship power monitoring, power monitoring system and ship design. The third chapter on the monitoring terminal hardware design, including processor selection, and some important circuit design. Chapter four is the monitoring and control system software design. Chapter five mainly about control system reliability and interference on the control terminal design and performance testing. The chapter six is a summary of this article, and proposed research gaps and future research work.
