With the deep development of the process of urbanization in China and kinds of emergency events occurring more and more frequency in big city, we have entered an period of frequent emergency. So it is very essential to have an effective and scientific emergency plan for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The study on route choice model is the very important part of the emergency evacuation preplan. Based on the analysis on traffic demand and evacuation network of dangerous scope and the analysis on evacuation flow characteristics and evacuation strategies, the model was built, and its superior goal makes sure the shortest evacuation time, and the precondition is the safety of the evacuation route.This paper described the current status of emergency evacuation research at home and abroad firstly. Based on the analyses on evacuation flow characteristics and evacuation strategies, route choice model for Olympic emergency transportation evacuation is founded, and VB6.0 program is used to the application of this model. Subsequently, two theoretical model traffic assignment are founded, one is based on the shortest evacuation time and unblock reliability, the other is a dynamic traffic assignment, which is based on Dynamic Link Travel Time of traffic flow wave theory and Greenberg model, and the paper described the applicability of models. Finally, on the aid of the computer system simulation techniques, using emergency evacuation simulation software OREMS and taking the emergency evacuation of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games as an example, route choice model and traffic assignment model are argued.
