Based on the design project of a single-tower self-anchored suspension bridge with 248m main span in Nanjing, this thesis builds up a integrated finite element model by using a finite element software called MIDAS/CIVIL 2006 to discuss the problems of hanger installation, static behaviors, dynamic behaviors and stability. Firstly, on the basis of the reasonable finished bridge state, structural deflections and the stress of hangers and cables under construction are obtained by backward analysis. And weak interference principle of main cable's displacements and near influence principle of hanger force are proved. Then, structural effect under finished bridge state and the influence of live load, temperature load and wind load on the stucture under operation stage are computed. The creep and shrinkage of concrete are considered in three years. The force and deflection of structure are checked according to the most disadvantage combination of the above loads. After the analysis of static behaviors, the dynamic behavior is studied by comparing the calculation with pile-soil interaction and the calculation without pile-soil interaction. The seismic response characteristic is computed by means of the response spectrum analysis and the time history analysis. Finally, the elastic stability of the structure is computed under the combination of the dead loads and live loads. Therefore, the static, dynamic and stable behaviors and analysis method of self-anchored suspension bridge are roundly understood.
