This paper is aimed mainly at the study of Driver Machine Interface(DMI) of Automation Train Protection system(ATP), the primary objective of the study is to research and gain the technology of DMI according to characteristic of ATP's man-machine interface technology. This paper has introduced the function of the trainborne equipment driver machine interface of ATP at first, proceed from aspect of human engineering , has analysed the the principle that should be followed in man machine interface design. ATP is a integrated system of train protecting over the speed limit and locomotive signal system, which is consist of two major parts, trainborne equipment and ground equipment, they together accomplish train's operating. The high-speed DPL(dedicated passenger line) that our country newly builds at present all adopts the train-mountedly signal showing, the locomotive attendant drives a vehicle according to the signal in the train, so require the train-mounted signal to reflect the operation conditions of the present train and environmental state of ground correctly in time. This paper is made from the standard of DMI design of our country, according to driver's manual to design MDI.This paper has summarized present domestic and international ATP trainborne equipment driver machine interface technology, also suck the mentality of designing in foreign product, combining the standard that our country's own railway running situation and trainborne equipment driver machine interface which Ministry of Railways issued, providing my own design. The software providing the driver machine interface finally is realized in this paper, also has got the satisfactory result.
