Along with the development of the power system, transmitting electricity by exceed-high voltage, long distance, great capacitance and nationally electricity network will come true. The protector is quite important in power system, whether it can work normally or not will bring some grave infections. Therefore, we pay attention increasingly to how to improve the reliability of the protector.The thesis establishes a model of evaluating the reliability of proctor according to the research on the protector's fault, and calculates the proctor's state probability and reliability target. The main jobs are as follows:Firstly, Study every theory of reliability evaluation, then select the reliability target and the mathematic analytic method for the reliability model.Secondly, point out the localization of some existent software reliability model and bring forward a software reliability prediction and evaluation model of power relay protection. At the same time, it expatiates the model's rationality, bring forward several target of software reliability evaluation, introduce the calculation method of the software invalidation rate in its each life cycle,and put forward the software rebirth conception, expound the calculate logic of the software rebirth time.A simple example proved that it is measurable and can be work-out.Thirdly, The paper defines two reliability evaluative index after viewing every factors which affect the reliability of the proctor. Classify the factors that affect the protection system's reliability and then establish the software, hardware and human factor mathematics models respectively. Apply Markov process to slove the protection availability and fault rate when with standby and without standby based on the state space. An application in a practical protective production was given to demo the techniques. The result was in reason.Fourty, it entirely expatiates every measurement and notice to improve the reliability of relay's software and hardware. At the side of software, this paper bring foreward a reliability project based on data mining, expound the flow of the project facing reliability. And it defines how to build the storage system and data form at the moment of market researching, the moment of programming and the moment of testing and maintenance of the software, so that we can improve the software's quality and then ensure its reliability. At the side of hardware, it discusses the measurement of improving the reliability of electronic organ and proctor assistant equipment. Finally, it emphasizes the essentiality of reliability management and introduces some administrant guideline.
