The disease and the aged problem of the steel gate of hydroelectric stations is one of the major issues widely concerned by the construction structure engineers both in China and abroad.Firstly, in this paper using three-dimensional finite element method and the test of steel gate prototype, analysis Lalang hydroelectric station steel gate before reinforcement, some analysis methods of similar members for stiffness and stress are obtained by force-loading analysis. The comparison between calculation process results of finite element and experimental results shows satisfactory agreement. On the basis of the research productions that have been reserved, we put forward strengthening design project. The project of reinforcement is strengthening by bonded steel plate. The relevant distributions of stress are presented.Secondly, the base of these analysis and contrasts mainly relies on the calculation process of three-dimensional finite element and the test of steel gate prototype, verify that the bonding steel strengthening is obviously effective. The results show that the stress and deflection of steel gate obviously decreases after reinforcement, and ensure function of the steel gate.By the compare of three-dimensional finite element and the test of steel gate prototype, the rationality of the way of bonding steel strengthening technology has been tested and verified.Bonding steel strengthening technology is practical on technology and reasonable on economic. It has very big reference value to similar projects.
