In order to guarantee the travel security in tunnel, the consideration each designing parameter is according to the maximum value. The density and power of lamps and lanterns in the tunnel are determined by the greatest brightness and the highest driving of the whole year. Therefore, each section of length and the degree of illumination also is at the condition of maximum value. In the tunnel lamps and lanterns year are opened usually and consume the massive electrical energy.Currently, most of the tunnel lighting used the methods of manual control to switch and inspect, but this means has all kinds of problems which are brought by man-made factors. While some monitoring facilities installed in the import of tunnel, which the tunnel lighting can be controlled, but lighting control system is only a small part as a whole. The entire system is expensive, especially software, which is often equivalent to the hardware. Even so, lighting control is not satisfactory. Moreover the hardware has the poor performance in withstanding disturbs. As such, this paper designed a new embedded controller for the control of tunnel lighting which is emphasized on the flow of cars whit the outside light intensity.Firstly the hardware and software of the Embedded System was introduced in this paper. The hardware includes processor/microprocessor, memory, peripheral devices t and I/O ports and so on. The core is the Embedded Microprocessor. The Embedded operating system is a kind of operating system software which can support the application, it is the very important composition of the Embedded System. This system has selectedμC/OS-II operating system which can support the source code.The tunnel illumination controller which uses the embedded technique is the core of control system. The tunnel control system also includes the sensor system, the power control system, the bypass system and so on. The different photosource were carried on the comparison in the paper. Because the old photosource delays lighting and can not suit the real-time control, therefore the new photosource - LED lamp which can suit the real-time control was selected in this paper.The different photosource were carried on the comparison in the paper, and finds the real-time control the new photosource. It also has compared the different examination vehicles method and chosen one kind of reliable inducted coil of vehicles sensor.This paper also researched the Embedded System. According to the relevant performance indicators and the practical application of embedded industrial controller, it designed the hardware of controller and achieved the designing of hardware platform, interface Module , analog-digital conversion module, digital-analog converter module , the LCD Module embedded ARM7 microcontroller core of the design of, a complete Design, which is used Embedded ARM7 microcontroller as a core.According to the needs of software, it designed the overall structure of software design and analyzed kernel ofμC/OS-II which is the embedded real-time operating system kernel , improved the deficiencies of interrupt and clock handlingμC/OS-II system was successfully transplanted to the ARM microprocessor. It tested the functions of the system modules through the scheduling of corresponding task and completed the function of various modules interface .The application function library was builded which was convenient to transplantation and application of the codes.
