Development And Design Of Power Distribution Network Based On GIS

In power industry, Power Distribution Department is an important link to connect power-supply enterprise with power consumers, which acts an important role in the whole industry. With continual spread of the power network in China, the power department makes higher requests to the geography space information, but the weak mechanism of electrical network management has not been able to satisfy the growing demand of electricity uses day by day. Applying the technology of Geographic Information System to the Power Distribution Network can combine the map, the image and the attribute data organically, so it greatly improves the quality of electrical energy, the power supply reliability and reduces the power lose, and enhances the security of the distribution network, and promotes the service levels of the power customers. Therefore, it is a great trend to establish the system of Power Distribution Network on the platform of Geographic Information System.This paper has analyzed the question of traditional managements of Power Distribution Network, and elaborated the development present of Power Distribution Network in the domestic and foreign countries and the emphasis the point of Geographic Information System applying to the Power Distribution Network, pointing out the superiority in Power Distribution Network introducing GIS. This article takes the Hebei Wuqiao Power Distribution management system as an example, and introduces the design thought and the main process of the system development in detail The system chooses Oracle 10g as the database platform and uses the three networks patterns construction of the B/S and C/S union ,and provides the MapX module by MapInfo Corporation to develop the platform on C/S and provides the MapXtreme as application server to show maps on B/S.The article elaborated the whole performance process of the system emphatically, and comprehensively introduced the emphasis point of GIS applying to the Power Distribution Network, and had established the independent system of mark definition for the first time and the power inspects system using the GPS satellite positioning technology and the GIS technology, so it adapts the technology and management requests of the fast development of power enterprises. At the same time, the completes of the system had the profound influence to the development of electrical power system in the area.
