Different wharfs have their own functions, design load, geological condition, construction condition and structure characteristics. How to synthesize the characteristics above to design, ameliorate and optimize a wharf is an important problem worth to study on.Several engineering examples are used in this article. Structure design characteristics and application conditions of large diameter concrete cylinder pile are studied, as well as the load case of vessel impact, the effect of force transmits in the structural joint groove, and the load of simply supported plate friction. Pilling methods and reinforce measures are put up in large diameter concrete cylinder pile with high energy hammer on complex condition. Combined to engineering examples, methods on structural optimization are done when there is bad weather, and it is hard to piling and orienting platforms. These methods can effectively decrease the cost of project, shorten construction period and raise structural safety. Analysis on structure characteristics and adjustability of pier structural scheme of leg beam slap wharf on slope rock surface will be reference to similar projects.
