As an architectural concept, green building surveys the impact of building activities to the environment from the view of building lifecycle, through the ways of use-saving of soil, energy and material, recycling, replacing un-renewable with renewable energy, reducing and managing properly the harmful waste and the influence of noise, light and heat to the surroundings. Green building implements the building sustainable development at last as a sub-environment of ecology environment, of which water resource is a very important factor.Combined with evaluation criteria of green building in china, this paper analyses the main existing problems of water-saving technology in Chinese residential community and discusses the development orientation of china green community in the future, compared with the relative technical measures home and abroad and project from the following aspects: water-saving equipment,waste-water treatment and reuse,rainwater and reclaimed water utilization etc.The content of this paper includes the following six parts:The first part introduces the background of research and describes some key words'definition, technological race, content, methods and signification.The second part is to expound the measures of water-saving in residential community referring to indoors and outdoors and analysis some problems about the effluent under excess pressure in water supply pipe.The third part is to analyses reclaimed water treatment in residential community, which includes the applicability, water quality and quantity and treatment process mostly, contrasts the characteristics and applicability and limitation of each treatment process.The fourth part is to introduce the rainwater utilization in residential community. It introduces some measures prevailing in home and abroad referring to two aspects: direct usage and indirect usage, explains the applicability and characters of such measures about infiltration, green roofs and rainwater collection etc.The fifth part pays attention to the problem of protecting scenic water quality. It puts forward some measures to supply water and to guarantee water quality from two sides of daily management and pollution control, meanwhile exerts the sight and capacity of waterscape to constructing a favorable environment for resident associated with wastewater usage of residential community.The sixth part introduces the demo-project of VANKEâ…£. This project implements a series of measures on water-saving and wastewater reuse, including water-saving instrument, treatment and usage of reclaimed water and rainwater and water supply and protection of scenic water etc, and analyses its economy, environment and social benefit of water-saving technologies applied in demo-project on the basis of lifecycle, all of these builds up a benign apotheosis for spreading and developing green building.As an old sentence: control the usage of resource and saving, no inadequate. Although water resource our country owing is abundance, the shortage of water still forms a great threaten for national economy development and people living because of a big radix with population, waste of domestic consumption, the low ration of wastewater and rainwater with less contamination for reuse and the rapid decrease of water resource directly using caused by water pollution. In order to making overall plans and taking all factors into consideration of the present and future, government advances the principle of 3R(reduce, reuse, recycle) to realize the use of water resource availably and reasonably. To improve the use ration of water resource not only stays on the phase of system, policy and manage, but also use water resource by technology, which is a synthesis facility to advance the sustainable development of social and environment.
