Analysis On Spatial Grid Structure With Self-Balanced Pre-Stressed Units

Unit assembling and self-balanced pre-stressed steel structure is a new spatial cable rodsystem composed by self-balanced pre-stressed cable and strut elements. As a new type ofstructure formation, it combines the advantages of cable system and bar system. Unitassembling and self-balanced pre-stressed steel structure overcome many shortcomings of thecurrent pre-stressed steel structure. The form of units is diverse, so the shape of the wholestructure without space constraints. It can achieve the structure individually and diversified.The most important feature is the unit and whole structure can keep balance themselves, noneeding load-bearing structure or stiff annular beam. This system has high reliability, becausethe damage of some special element can not destruct the entire structure; high-strength materialcan be used efficiently; the strut is short relatively, it can guarantee the stability of the system.This paper forms a specific warping of space grid structure as an example to explain theapplication of "Unit assembling and self-balanced Pre-stressed steel structure". The large finiteelement software ANSYS was used to take structure design and static analysis, and the designsof the basic element and joints were introduced.The main works include:①The development and application of Pre-stressed steelstructure was generalized, and the main problem of space grid structure was pointed out.②Theconception, mechanism, jgint and element design of Unit assembling and self-balanced Pre-stressed steel structure were introduced.③The spatial strut was analyzed using the finiteelement law.④Self-balanced unit was designed to form a warping of space grid structure,this structure was analyzed by ANSYS to prove the feasibility that the "Unit assembling andself-balanced Pre-stressed steel structure" can apply in space grid structures.⑤Finally the mainconclusion was summarized and the further work was pointed out.
