Based on the research of the interaction between land use and transportationhome and abroad, the necessity of the combination of the two aspects is pointed out inthis paper, which is used to study their interaction and feedback relationship on themacro-level (city), middle-level (region), and micro-level. In the paper, on the view oftraffic bottleneck as reference point of regional traffic capacity, the author studies therestriction to regional land use by traffic bottleneck. The significance: in the stage ofcontrolled detailed planning, the balance of demand-supply between land use andtransportation should be reached to realize the feedback of transportation to land useon middle-level.The first step, the cause of formation of traffic bottleneck is analyzed onmacro-level and micro-level, and the traffic bottleneck which is not fit to be studiedshould be excluded(the bottleneck not caused by overly exploited around). Thesecond step, on the basis of analysis of the relationship among urban planning, landuse planning and traffic planning, the author analyzes the essential cause of trafficbottleneck and the shortcoming of controlled detailed planning in transportation.Finally, besides strengthening the "integrated" study of urban planning and trafficplanning in the stage of urban comprehensive planning, the introduction of land usefeedback analysis in the stage of controlled detailed planning is also very important,even more.The next step, the feedback of transportation to land use has been studied on themacro-level and middle-level, especially the later one. In the stage of urbancomprehensive planning, based on the combination of quantitative and qualitativemethod, the feedback of urban traffic planning to urban planning is researched. Inorder to realize the macroscopical controlling strategy of transportation to land use,the character of pivotal OD which cause traffic bottleneck is to be syntheticallyanalyzed. In the stage of controlled detailed planning, on the base of the sensitivityanalysis of traffic volume of road section to land use density of each zone, the modelof the restriction to regional land use by bottleneck section is established, which ishelpful to restrict land use of relevant area when it exists bottleneck section which isdifficult to increase the traffic capacity.The third step, the model mentioned above is also predigested in this paper.Based on some preconditions, land use feedback model is set up, which makes up theshortcoming that the character and intensity of city exploitation lacks upper limit fromtraffic volume generated, and supplies a theory basis of effective restriction to thecharacter and intensity of regional land use according to bottleneck section.Finally, on the basis of theory analysis and model research, Guangnei street inXuanwu District is selected as a testing area, which testifies the effectivity and feasibility of land use feedback model.
