After 1950s, Chinese metropolitans have gone into the stage of rapiddevelopment.Metropolitan regions have become the goal of metropolitan, and have comeinto the spatial organization's form of each characteristic.As a new urban spatial type,it isimminent demand to construct the theory system of metropolitan regions spatial formorganization of china,to improve the level of spatial form organization in metropolitanregions,and to resolve the problem of spatial form organization in metropolitan regions ofchina,basing the theories and experiences of development country.This paper, with the research progress of spatial form organization in metropolitanregions of all the world,with the guidance of urban planning theories,referring theinterrelated theories of geography, biology, sociology, economics and politics,which adoptsthe systematic research,comparative research,positivism research,combination ofqualitative research and quantitative research,and mathematical model research,hasconstructed a analytic framework of spatial form organization in metropolitanregions,basing "spatial restriction of biology——spatial support of industry——spatiallead of traffic——spatial regulate of society——spatial continue of history &culture",andhas introduced the 4 strategy, including determining the "strategic axis",growing the"vicecenter",making "functional group",and promoting "new small town". After researchingChangzhou as a case by the last analytic method, the paper has formed a plan of spatialform organization in metropolitan regions of Changzhou,including "1 core central city", "2strategic axis", "4 generalization new town", "3 functional group", "3 new town", "4 newsmall town".
