| With fast development of power industry, the direction of foreign and domestic power system development is great crew,large-scale power grids,super-high voltage and long-distance electricity transmission, it makes power grids stability more complicated. These years activation automation of power system becomes increasingly perfect due to development of computer application technology and network technology, and power grids security stability control system becomes a necessary management tool for power grids. Database, as the kernel of stability control system, which can process the real-time data and backup the history data quickly, is very important. The good usage of database technology makes the data management more convenient and enhances the reliability and performance of the system, so the research of database technology application in power system is necessary.Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the basic concept of power grids security and stability, and the application status of database technology in power system; secondly, it briefly introduces the Hubei province on-line transient stability control system, after analysis of its structure presents the database system's deficiencies; finally, it concretely discusses how to use database technology to improve the database system, including: using database replication technology to enhance reliability of the system, using procedure to enhance performance of the system, using index to enhance speed of system data searching, using normal form to regulate data table design, discussing the problems about database transplant. It's instructional to the design of similar project-database. |
