A Research On Citywide Parks' Distribution Based On Service Radius

The purpose of the paper is analyzing the distribution of Taiyuan's citywide parks. First of all, the paper introduces some basic conception and the general situation of the researching area, including the conception of service radius, the conception and classification of park, and also some other theories. According to "Classification Criterion of City Greenbelt" by Ministry of Construction P.R.China, the park can be divided into five types, including integrated park, community park, subject park, belt park, street greenbelt. The integrated park includes citywide park and district park, the paper only researches on Taiyuan's citywide park.Concerning with human-centered, the paper begins to discuss the service radius of park. According to the pattern of business cycle, The service radius can be divided into three levels, which are listed as optimal service radius, secondary service radius and marginal service radius. The author collects data by social investigation, analyzing the data of Taiyuan's citywide park as a whole. Making use of the SPSS software, the paper does the correlation analysis and descriptive statistics. According to the correlation analysis, the paper gets the consequence as follows: (1) with the increase of service radius, the frequency of participants going to the parks is descendant. (2) the parks' service radius is negatively correlative to the participants' age segment, namely that with the increase of the service radius, the participants' age segment becomes younger. (3) with the increasing of the service radius, the arriving time to the parks of the participants is also increasing. (4) the speed of participants' arriving at the parks is positively correlative to the change of the service radius, namely that the bigger the service radius is, the faster the velocity of traffic mode is. When doing the descriptive statistics, more outcomes can be gotten: (1) with the increase of the citywide parks' distances, the number of people who arrives at parks in unit area is descendant, when the service radius is over 2000m, the percentage of people's number is lower than 1% in per area, so around 2000m can be regarded as optimal service radius. (2) within the service radius distances from 500m to 2000m, the increasing extent of people's number is low, because the increase extent of the area is low, within the service radius distances from 3000m to 5000m, the increasing extent of people's number is high, because the parks' service area becomes large. When the service radius is over 10000m, the service radius is much bigger, the increase of the people is low because this is almost the edge of the service radius. (3) the number of denizens who arrive at citywide parks has significant change before and after 5000m, so 5000m can be regarded as the secondary service radius.(4) when the service radius is over 10000m, the percentage of participants is lower than 5%, so around 10000m can be regarded as the marginal service radius of citywide parks. On this condition, considering that if the five parks are seen separately, and then they have overlaps. In the overlaps of the optimal service radius, using the illation of the breaking point theory, the paper figures out the optimal service radius of the citywide parks via the distances between every two parks and the scales of the parks.According to the conclusion above, and also analyzing the lodestar and principle of Taiyuan's citywide parks, the paper refers to next construction's methods about citywide parks. Finally, the paper brings forward some idiographic suggestions about Taiyuan's citywide parks, including continuation southwardly of the Fenhe Park and constructing park around Changfeng East Road and the development of Nanzhai Park in the north of Taiyuan.
