Recently, along with a great price rising on valuable metal material such as electrolytic in international and domestic market, which has being a long time keeping, material costs of water-lubricated bearing were increasingly higher as well as the application and extension greatly restricted .It is necessary to find other materials to replace copper as crustaceous material of water-lubricated bearing. Research on water-lubricated engineering composite bearing of nonmetal crust is still a vacancy, there are also many key technologies required to resolve.This thesis comes from the national natural science fund research project(50475065),which has esTablelished key scientific foundation for the following contents, first research and development on nonmetal crustaceous water-lubricated engineering composite bearing. Second, improvement on the following critical problems of damping, noise descending ,safety ,reliability, material and energy saving, high efficiency and environmental protection which are necessary to settle up for large and medium-sized naval vessel propulsion systems. Third, solving the increasingly serious pollution situation which is polluted by lubricating oil leaking from transmission machine especially large and medium-sized naval vessel propulsion systems. Last, cultivating scientific industry of resource-saving and environment -friendly and new economical growth point.The article has analyzed the structure and molding technics of traditional water-lubricated bearing and the critical influence factors on friction coefficient of bearing. Then it introduces nonmetal crustaceous water-lubricated bearing ,including material ,structure, and molding technics; later, it optimizes some aspect as follows: fiber's winding angle , angle of each layer, contents of carbon black when rubber is being vulcanized .system of rubber vulcanization.The paper has resolved some key problems, including caking of rubber with crust of glass fiber-reinforced epoxy resin, interface problem of glass fiber and glass fiber-reinforced epoxy resin ,protecting epoxy resin condensate from being intenerate deformed under high temperature when rubber is being vulcanized. The study on nonmetallization of water-lubricated bearing has not only important theoretical meaning but also practical project value.
