The technique of integral lifting for huge members, which developed gradually in construction industry, is a new construction technology in recent years. It adapts to the needs of lifting higher and more height. And it also shows the great advantage and development prospect in technique.This paper analyses the assembling and application of integral lifting for pipe steel truss roof, which based on research of the large span steel pipe truss.It introduces the forms and the common construction methods of large span structure, which includes high altitude construction in bulk, assemble segment by segment, whole installation and sliding construction, and so on. It is also discusses about the characteristics of the methods and the scope of application.It analyses the materials, the forms and mechanical characteristics of joint of pipe truss. It especially focuses on the tubular joints that are used widely in pipe truss. The paper discusses the study theories and the weld methods about the tubular joints. And, for a remedial measure on tubular joints in site, it also explicates the theory basis by calculating on the weld joints. The results are important for the similar construction application.It studies the theory of the integral lifting and the lifting system, and it discusses the system composition, the arrangement of the system and the control methods in site with an example. The result is useful for the construction in site. It analyses the integral lifting techniques using in the pipe truss, such as the different ways of the integral lifting, the assemble methods of pipe truss and the design of the false work. And it analyses the stresses and the strains under different working conditions by using finite element analysis software ANSYS, it also discusses the monitor ways about the stresses and the strains in the progress of the integral lifting, and the methods of synchronism control are mentioned.Finally, the author introduces the application of the technique of integral lifting and the assemble method for a pipe roof truss in Chongqing Municipal No. 1 Intermediate People's Court relocation project.
