Study On Military Equipment Supportability Engineering

The modern war will depend on the support of equipment more and more. The more complex of equipment, the more difficult support was performed. With respect to the user and employment, the supportability of equipment is an integrated measure of equipment system and support related quality features. It is one of the important elements of equipment performance. Achievement of supportability goal has become vital content in the whole life cycle management of the equipment system.Supportability is basic element of battle effectiveness, which reflects all quality features of equipment system. With the continuous growth of equipment complexity and the advanced technology, the quality and reliability problems are becoming serious. The problems that ignore the technique support during equipment development reduce generation and development of battle effectiveness. The traditional engineering discipline cannot change the situation, so the Equipment Supportability Engineering emerges as required.In this thesis, according to the practicality of military equipment support, on the basis of deeply investigation and research. The views that establishing and running of support system is the precondition to plan supportability, and the capability and level of support system is idiographic embodiment of equipment supportability are put forward. The parameter system of supportability is put forward, and analyzes deeply each kind of parameters. This paper decidedly points out that supportability is a kind of designing characteristic of equipment system, this property subjects to and services for the basic tactics and technical needs of system. Then status of supportability is emphasized and decided. This paper explains the definition, aim, object, content, method of research, then adequately researches and discourses upon the contents of supportable analysis, analytic technology, using of support system. The application of support system which is of most importance to support engineering, is emphasized. According to presently military materiel technical support and supportability engineering, the status and function of materiel technical support is decided. From the scale of equipment supportability, all kinds of engineering materiel are deeply analyzed. The characteristic of equipment supportability and integrated logistic support is generalized, then parameter system of each kind of equipment is put forward. On the basic of theoretic analysis and deep research, this thesis puts forward the theory system of integrated logistic support of engineering materiel, then designs the methods and program of integrated logistic support of engineering materiel as well as its management and plan, at last the failure mode effect and critical analysis of engineering materiel are studied.
