Design Of Ship Supportability Evaluation System Based On Evidential Reasoning Approach

Ship supportability evaluation is an important way to improve ship supportability. Throughout the whole life cycle of ship equipment, it can effectively supervise and control the whole ship equipment system. Furthermore, poor ship support capacity and inadequate support resources will seriously restrict the normal performance of ship equipment. So, scientific and reasonable evaluation of ship supportability will help shipping companies know their own strengths fully, improve transport efficiency, reduce transportation cost, and keep good competitiveness under severe situation.Because of the fact that ship supportability evaluation is a complex and multi-attribute problem with uncertainty, this paper takes evidential reasoning approach (ERA) as the evaluation method. Considering that the evaluation process is relatively complex and manual calculation is difficult, this paper designs and implement the ship supportability evaluation system based on ERA with the help of the computer technology. It provides a visual interface, simplifies the evaluation process, and improves the computational efficiency and accuracy, which is good for shipping companies to analyze the evaluation results and make decisions.This paper takes ship supportability as research object, evidential reasoning approach as research method, computer technology as research means, and the automation of ship supportability evaluation as research purpose. Firstly, it reviews some related literatures, sums up the present situation of domestic and foreign research, and points out research direction and main contents of the paper. Secondly, it introduces related theory of ship supportability, analyzes influential factors of ship supportability, summarizes the comprehensive evaluation method of ship supportability, and builds the evaluation index system of ship supportability. Thirdly, it introduces main theory and steps of ERA, analyzes the demand and feasibility of this system, and designs the main functions and database of this system. Finally, it uses computer technologies to realize this system, and verifies the adaptability and practicability of the system through analysis of typical examples.
