With the development of scientific technology, the industrial dump begins to be recovery, which can save production costs, reduce waste of resource, and protect environment.Coal gangue is the main dump which is produced on the production of coal, and piling coal needs large earth and pollutes environment. But guage is a mixture of types of soft rock. As a roadbed filler, it's prospect is extensive. This paper firstly samples on-site coal gangue, tests gradation, liquid limit and plastic limit, crush value, antipressing without lateral confinement, straight snips, consolidation and bearing capacity allowed, puts up physics parameter and mechanical property index for the application of coal gangue of mingning railway roadbed. To reduce the disease of roadbed and protect the travelling safety, this paper analysis the bearing capacity and stability of roadbed, and gets the requirement of compactness and height of strem of coal gangue roadbed. The settlement of roadbed is the main damage of roadbed.Coal gangue is soft clay, the main settlement of coal gangue roadbed is consolidation settlement, this paper calculates the settlement of new coal gangue roadbed and roadbed between new roadbed and old roadbed. This paper analysis the settlement of coal gangue roadbed of different compactness and filling height, using the Drucker-Prager elastic-plastic model of ANSYS,and puts up the theoretical reference of preformed settlement for coal gangue roadbed. The study indicates:As railway roadbed filling, the coal gangue can fully meets the need of designing standards, and can be promoted for mining railway as roadbed filling. It can not only reduce the earth occupied by piling coal gangue, but also improve the living environment of adjacent residents.
