| As one kind of byproducts in the process of excavating coal, the coal gangue is often discarded as the waste material; the quantity huge gangue not only takes the massive land resource but also pollutes the environment extremely. It has already became an urgent social question to be solved that how to develop reasonably using the coal gangue.In recent years, with the development of the highway construction, a lots of coal gangue have been used as the filling materials of roadbed and basement. It not only could secondarily use the coal gangue, but also could decrease the road-costing expenses, and processed benefits of economic.The paper mainly aims at the coals gangue in the Jilin Province. Combination with the achievements of the research on coal gangue, it is proved to be feasible to use coal gangue as the path material through systemic experiments. The paper does some experiments on the coal gangue about the physical and chemical qualities and engineer characters of coal gangue, showing that most gangue can be used as the material of highway; through a large amount of experiments, coal gangue is proved to be more suitable for roadbed material than the soil and sand. The roadbed constructed by coal gangue is proved to be accorded with the design standards of the rules; the studies on the intensity and endurance and crack resistance of the coal gangue basement show that it can fit for not only the initial intensities but the long-term qualities of all kinds of roads. In the end,the paper sums up the studies on the coal gangue and advises propopularizing the roads constructed by coal gangue in the cold areas. |
