Renewal And Renaissance

In the wake of further developments in city extent, renewal of the old city of Hefei is becoming the main point of urban planning that to be solved urgently. In the view of "urban renaissance"and "urban renewal" in the world, this article makes studies on the examples of urban renewal and urban renaissance in China and foreign countries, explains the history and present conditions of the old area of Hefei, analyzes the problems exsit in old city. Basesd on the all above, this paper explores to move the municipal center, optimize the network of traffic, protect the traditional culture and renaissance the area of Sanxiaokou. At last, we concludes the rules that how to renewal and renaissance the old city under the present economical and cultural condions.
