The Water-using Behavior Research In Chinese Contemporary Family Kitchen

In a typical house of China, water is one of the important elements of kitchen, while the other two are electric and gas. We cannot work without water while cleaning and cooking. Behaviors around water have deep relationship with water source and the faucet which controls the water running. Therefore, faucet is the main essential subject in research of "water-using behavior".On one hand, the development of kitchen faucet brings higher quality life. On the other hand, our water-using-behaviors cause the revolution of faucet. People are used to the present faucet (product) in daily lives, which make them stereotyped. They cannot tell what is better. Therefore we have to do the research by the way of Organizational Behavior."Water-using behavior" is centered on faucet, and it covers most of the activities in kitchen. Moreover, it brings certain sequence to the seemingly disorderly activities in kitchen. This research observes the behavior around the kitchen faucet in different aspects, such as structure, shape, and function etc. By studying the factor of "people", behavior study enhances perceptual knowledge, enlarges horizons, and inspires design.
