Research On The Designing Of The Interactive Kitchen Based On The Family Dinner Behavior

With the improvement of standard living, people have realized that social indifference must result in a lot of social conflicts. People need interaction, so does the society. To cater to the target group, the kitchen design could take the interaction into consideration so as to seek a harmonious dinning manner, or a lifestyle.Kitchen is an organic unity. The essential of kitchen design is not a form limited by the material, but a proper solution focusing on people’s activities for putting forward rational solution. By researching the behaviors of families, it aims to find out their need for products, and then to optimize and improve the design of kitchen and it’s products.On the basis of discussing family party, this paper summarizes the kitchen’s role again, researches the change of function desire under certain family atmosphere, analyses the reason deeply, attempts to find the connection between the kitchen design and the family’s certain activities, and finally put forward the concept of "inter-kitchen" which is based on the family dinner and the designing rules, that is, overall design for production, service and consumption, overall design for dinning, activities and service, space-integrated design for dinning-room and kitchen, intelligent design and directing design. Taking the inter-kitchen as a designing case, this paper finally suggests a kind of thought for kitchen designing which is geared to the well-off family in cities.
