With China's large-scale infrastructure development, urban infrastructure construction of roads, highways, as well as urban and rural road building, large-scale metal and mine development, and the construction of water power, more large tonnage wheel loaders are need to complete these work that can improve the efficiency of handling, and avoid the waste of human and material resources. However now we have few large tonnage loader made by China's own development and production, and most of them are imitative of similar foreign products. For this reason, this research chooses object of power matching between ZL80 loader engine and hydraulic torque converter, it would be an important supplement part of the research and development of large tonnage wheel loader.In this paper the common work characteristics of ZL80 loader applicable diesel engine and hydraulic torque converter is analyzed and studied systematicly, a simplified mathematical model of hydraulic torque converter's torque is established, and thus the mathematical expression of its input and output characteristics is deduced. Detailed analysis is carried out when hydrodynamic torque converter and engine work together, and the mathematical equations to compute power matching are established through setting the engine torque characteristics's mathematical model. At last, the power matching calculation method is verified through the fitting analysis of original characteristics of the hydrodynamic torque converter that can be actually applied to ZL80 loader, and the matching calculation of hydrodynamic torque converter and engine.The calculation and optimization of hydrodynamic torque converter and diesel engineFor the matching calculation of hydrodynamic torque converter and engine, the torque characteristics's mathematical model of diesel engine is established firstly, then its fitting calculation of actual diesel engine is carried out. The calculation formula of full and part power matching of the hydrodynamic torque converter and engine is deduced, and the relevant power matching of 980C converter and N14-C315 is caculated respectively. The results of full power matching and common graphical method meet well, meaning that the simplified mathematical model of the hydrodynamic torque converter and diesel engine can meet the matching requirements in the calculation. In order to achieve better results of power matching, the effective diameter of hydrodynamic torque converter is optimized. The characteristics model of torque converter, matching formula, optimization objective function and optimization method that are obtained in this paper will help engineers and technicians understand the relationship between torque converter's characteristics more intuitively, and can calculate power matching for actual products with better engineering significance.The evaluation of optimization resultsThe key to evaluate matching performance of hydrodynamic torque converter and engine lies in choosing right parameters and its calculation method, a group of relatively intuitive data can be got through analyzing quantitatively when the two work together, thuscan make a reasonable evaluation to their matching performance. At first use the normal evaluation method to calculate the evaluation indicators. In calculation process the complex integration Indicators are simplified using mathematical methods so that the calculation may be simple. Then compare various matching programes, verifying the correctness of optimization. In addition, conduct another comparison of calculation and results of evaluation indicators using automotive evaluation method. The consistency of two methods indicates that the research method used in automotive vehicles can be applied to engineer vehicles.Program design of optimization matchingIn order to make the calculation process simpler, faster, and the optimization process general, that can be applied to the matching of various types of hydrodynamic torque converter and engine, use Visual BASIC to program the subroutine respectively, according to the former analysis and optimization process. After the program debugging and error handling, generate the executable file when compiler succeeds, then use commercial release software Inno Setup to make its installation files, and establish the corresponding dynamic link library, subsequently the software can be run on any computer. This will generate a software module that can be used for optimized matching of any type of engine and hydrodynamic torque converter.Based on above research work, the entire calculation and optimization can be carried out smoothly in the process of power matching optimization of engine and hydrodynamic torque converter. Using the optimization program the relevant problems can be resolved simplely and systematically, no longer relying on the massive manual calculation.
