This paper focuses on the matching and optimization between engine and hydraulic torque converter on a medium-sized sport utility vehicle.First of all,the mathematical model of the power strain system on the vehicle should be established,including the engine model,the hydraulic torque converter model and the matching model when they are working together,and according to the analysis of performing characteristics,proposing the defined solution of the matching between engine and hydraulic torque converter and the output characteristics of them.On this basis,characteristic curve of the engine and primitive curve of the hydraulic torque converter can be figured out with the help of the test data.Then the input characteristic curve and output characteristic curve can be obtained when they are working.At the same time, according to the evaluation of the best matching of hydraulic power stain, the best point can be determined when they work stable.The best matching is purposed to meet the vehicle's needs within the scope of working engine,but also taking into account the full use of the most effective power of the engine to ensure that the lowest engine fuel consumption and the biggest output torque at the start of engine. According to the evaluation of the hydraulic transmission when they match best and the characteristic parameters of the hydraulic torque converter,I optimized matching plan,to lay the foundation for the optimization of the whole power strain system.As the load of off-road vehicles changes greatly,the road which they traveled on and the state of the environment which they run in are extremely complex,such as the marshes,desert areas,so manual transmission is difficult to adapt to this complex situation.Therefore,in order to improve the mobility,flexibility and convenience,and reduce the load of the hydraulic transmission and shifting shocks,hydraulic automatic transmission can be applied to off-road vehicles,and there are so many manufacturers who have used this technology,but there are certain differences of matching.Finally a simple theory on the optimal design and optimize the design in a variety of methods chosen by the complex method to solve the car ispowered by the most optimal design and then introduce a quantitative can reflect the vehicle's power transmission system match the vehicle's power and evaluation of fuel economy,car engines and transmission system optimization methods for research.The whole engine and hydraulic torque converter are considered as a system in this paper which focused on reasonable matching method between the engine and hydraulic torque converter.Trying to figure out the optimal working point when they are running stable;with the help of computer simulation technology,for vehicles the dynamic and fuel economy of the analysis in accordance to the predicted performance and technical requirements for the design of the optimal parameters.
