The business pedestrian street lies in centre business mostly, and it is the core area of the city. Within urban core-areas after completion of the preliminary-stage road construction, the high strength exploitation of the pedestrian street area brings a conflict which is between a large number of traffic demand and the limited road resource, so it is necessary that optimal organization of the traffic flows is used as a necessary means to improve traffic operations. A reasonable traffic organization can make the traffic network of the pedestrian mall keeping expedite, and improve the city centre's arrival, thereby accelerate it to develop. It is very useful function to direct the construction of the pedestrian. The purpose of the one-way traffic's foundation is to get the vehicles which come into the city centre network is convenient and to reduce the running delay and traffic jam, play down the accident, improve the road's capability. The one-way traffic is a economical and effective traffic control measure to lighten the city traffic jam and take full advantage of the existing network capability in the city's road-traffic system.At present, the application of the one-way is abroad in many megapolises especially in the business centre area interiorly. But towards to the problem for example the one-way is adapted to the business pedestrian area whether or not, the discuss about these problems is very few in the existing research. This thesis analyses the characteristic of the business pedestrian in depth, and studies the effection and the adaptability of the one-way in the pedestrian area entirely.This thesis analyses the characteristic of the pedestrian mall and the traffic problems in the course of the business pedestrian street's development, puts forward the settle thinking for those problems; investigates the one-way traffic characteristic, setting condition, advantages and disadvantages as well as the problems we should pay attention to; sets up the produce and attract model of the pedestrian street area and the model for the benefit which one-way gains; makes use of variational weight theory to estimate the effection after one-way; takes the pedestrian malls of Chongqing for examples, analyses the actuality and impression of the one-way, putting forward the existing problem, and the ideas and suggestion to these problems are put out. By the adaptability study to the one-way in the pedestrian mall, summing up the traffic problems in the course of the business pedestrian area's building and development and the corresponding countermeasures; putting forward the building scenario of the whole closed business pedestrian area's one-way system which lies on the city main trunk road; researching the suited connection between the produce and attract ability which is to the traffic for the business pedestrian street and the traffic capability of the loop road which is for the pedestrian mall.
