| Business district is an important part in city. With the development of urban rail transitand bus priority strategies, business district to become the city’s important public transportnode. More pedestrian reach business district by public transport, and walk around in thebusiness district. As urban land prices increase, more urban functions concentrated in business,such as squares, urban green space, office, hotel, business and so on. As a result of it, a largenumber of people with different purpose arrived business district, complex stream ofpedestrian is the new characteristic in it.The paper selected the Teemall-Grandvies mall business district for study. This area iscombined the CBD and RBD in GuangZhou. Tiyuxi road subway station is the metroline3an metro line1’s transfer points; and The Sports Center Station is the first station in BRT;and the Teemall an Grandvies mall is the first large commercial building in GrangZhou.Nowaday, this area is still development and attract more persons to it.Through research for the traffic, trade, walking environment, pedestrian status in area,summary of the need in business district for walking environment, and evaluation of thewalking environment fit the needs in business district or not, with the situation in complexpedestrian flow. And to explore how to create a walking environment adapt to this situationand put forward a strategy to it. At last, base on the strategy,,give some optimizationrecommendations to Teemall-Grandvies mall business district.Paper is a systematic study to walking environment in business environment. Now thestudy about walking environment is focus on urban design and pedestrian street and few inbusiness districts w. In the current the complex pedestrian appear in business district, Tostudies in walking environment adapt for commercial area, and offer some experiences for thefuture design in walking environment, is the purpose for this paper. |
