The working principle of distribution network system based on 10kV power line communication is analyzed in this paper. Moreover, the function of Feeder Terminal Unit is illustrated and the two aspects are combined. The system is based on the DSP chip made in TI Co. and the power line communication chip-ST7538. The design of hardware circuit and software programming of Feeder Terminal Unit based on 10kV PLC are completed, including AC sampling based on frequency tracking, arithmetic of FFT and fault location. And the frame of main circuits, the input channel of analog signal, the method of AD sampling and the circuit of power line communication are illustrated in detail. Besides, the circuit of frequency tracking, the input and output circuit of switch, the clock circuit are mentioned in the paper. The function of feeder terminal unit is achieved by the equipment. The equipment can realize the function of measurement, communication, control and provide data such as the value of voltage, current, power in the power network.
