With the further reform promoting and development of the education system in China, universities are becoming a advancing and developing group. The new systems of enrollment expansion, incorporation and open college being introduced make universities combine with socialization environment completely and closely. These give rise to the great upsurge of developing construction of campus environment and propose opportunity and challenge to the construction of campus environment. Programming and construction of the universities have caused attention of the universities and society. The related issues mostly stay on the theory of the whole planning and construction or adjusting construction distribution, but the research about how to use green landscape to embody the unique cultural atmosphere is little. Development process, planning principles and methods of green landscape planning and construction of the universities are studied in order to discuss some theories which are suit the current higher educational system and the development of society and embody the culture features of high level. These will provide the base of theory and reference for green landscape planning and construction of the universities.Taking green land system as the research object, relative domestic and international data and documents were consulted and research status of green landscape planning and construction was described. Further more, many problems which are revising at present are found out. At the basis of this above, the importance of green landscape planning and construction to students' and teachers' living and studying are discussed.Comparing Research , Compreensive Analysis and Practical Investigation are combined together as the research methods. Landscape planning science, Botany, Ecological garden science, Psychology and Environment-Behavior Theory are taken as Theoretical Basis. Ecological Effects and unEcological function of the green land, planning rules, green space classification and plant landscape features of the different function division are expounded.On the basis of green landscape planning of many universities, eastern area of Hebei Agricultural University is taken as the practical example. Influencing factors of campus landscaping are analyzed. According to the kinds of the concrete green plant and landscape features, analysis is given in detail and a few problems and suggestions are proposed.
