| The modern public building remains of kaifeng is one of those important components which are the symbols that indicate. This paper analyzed the momentums of the development and engenderer of the latter-day public construction of Kaifeng and has found the evolvement trace from political economic and culture aspects.When defining time in the study, this paper draws on the dating methods of those history experts of domestic architecture. The content of the study in this paper is about the development course of public buildings of kaifeng during 110years from the Opium War in 1840 to 1949 before the establishment of the People's Republic of China.In the course of the study, to the modern Kaifeng several important events for clues to study the evolution of Kaifeng public buildings.
