As Chinese rapid economic growth,carton and paper box industries have also made rapid development.Cartons,paper boxes are mainly used for food,beverage, wine,tea products,cigarettes,medicine,health products and many other industries which have huge market potential,therefore,carton samplemaker have significant market share in the country.Meanwhile,with the fast development of computer hardware and software technology,the embedded system technology becomes day by day matured and perfect,which has made it a wide range of applications in many fields.By applying the current popular embedded technology,it can develop the embedded numerical control system of carton samplemaker which is low cost and power,small,fast,high precision and reliability.This paper centers on the design target of the embedded numerical control system of carton samplemaker and establishes the hardware and software architecture. The hardware component includes the core board which takes SAMSUNG's ARM7 processor S3C44B0X as core and the special-purpose DSP motion control board which takes MCX314As as core;they are connected together through the PC104 bus interface.By adding the appropriate peripheral equipments,it forms a complete hardware platform.The software component chooses the uC/OS-â…¡real-time embedded operating system,constructs complete and practical real-time operating system through the functional expansion and carries on the application software development.This paper describes in details the constructing process of the software platform of embedded numerical control system of carton samplemaker,which including the design of guidance code,the scattered loading for satisfying the complicated system requirements,the transplant of the uC/OS-â…¡operating system and the design and development of several main devices' low-level hardware drivers and corresponding API functions,which makes foundation for high-level software developments.As for the objective function required by system,the paper focuses on introducing the reliable logic storage system and the U disk system.By adding the bad blocks management based on the file system,it constructs a reliable logic storage system.By combining the logic storage system,USB'technology and the specification of mass storage,it changes the ARM core board into USB device and realizes the U-disk function.What is more,it has also coded the motion control API function library,which has provided great convenience for motion control system applications development in the carton samplemaker.Through chart and text introduction of a system operating example,the paper explains the overall system intuitively.Finally,the paper sums up all the system development works and proposes the places which need further improvement of the system,so that it can be the reference for follow-up research and development.
