Urban village is a special terrain phenomenon that spreads during the high-speed urbanization of our country. It's the result of historic relics and modern development. In these low-rise and high-density area, there is little green open space existed. No adequate infrastructure service and no better human settlements have been provided. Just as there is lacking of leading program which is used to guiding human settlements reconstruction and planning, the maneuverability of many reconstruction programs are very weak.Combining the practice of urban village reconstruction in Hongshan district of Wuhan and following the guidance of viewpoint about improving the comprehensive reconstruction work of urban village, which comes from the government of Wuhan, this thesis points against the characteristics of human settlements in Hongshan district, then after analysis the formation and growth progress, diagnosis the problems of human settlements, at the end of the paper, defines the leading program of urban village human settlements reconstruction and planning in Hongshan district. The program is used to guiding the urban village human settlements reconstruction and planning in Hongshan district from spatial environment, infrastructure service, ecological protection, scene feature, cultural degenerated and so on. It will make the formulating of policy and the implying of planning become a feasible work.
