The power transformer is an important equipment in electric power system .If it was in trouble,it will threaten the safe operation of the electric power system. The thesis reviews the development history and summarizes the updated research achievements of power transformer monitor theory. Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system of the power transformer based on TCP/IP protocol data communication and the principle of the multi-information on-line monitoring is studied and developed in this thesis.The condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system of the power transformer functionally consists of three modules: data collection,data communication and fault diagnosis. This thesis elaborates the research and development of the power transformer condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system according to these three modules.Data collection module is the base of the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system. In order to provide assist to fault diagnosis, hardware circuit board is used to collecting high speed real-time data of the multiplex sensors to get real-time status information.W3100 is the kernel of the data communication module. The status information of the power transformer is transmitted to the fault diagnosis module by TCP/IP protocol. Fault diagnosis module is the analysis platform of the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system. Wave band display,data management and data analysis is realized by LabVIEW and Microsoft Access database. The power transformer's condition is forecasted according to analyzing the frequency-domain and time-domain characteristics of the condition information by wavelet arithmetic.The real-time condition monitoring and initial fault diagnosis is realized by the system. And provide gist to realize condition based maintenance.
