The permeable pile wharf with vertical barriers is a new kind of harbor engineering structure which resolves special demand in condition of specialty. It is designed which can realize double functions of wharf and reducing wave height, breakwater can reduce wave height according to the theory that waves energy are mainly concentrating the surface of water. Comparing with other breakwater of current light-duty, the permeable pile wharf with vertical barriers has obvious advantage: the construction is simple, being applicable to the soft soil foundation particularly, the construction is convenience, the price of building is low; the affection to the current surrounding is small; its adaptability of the variety to coast and river beds is stronger, at the same time, it can be used as breakwater and so on.Based on the permeable pile wharf with vertical barriers of Dongying harbor in Shandong Province, the permeable pile wharf with vertical barriers is mainly studied about hereinafter three methods in this paper, theoretical derivation formula,physics model experiment and numerical value calculation. Water power characteristics is analyzed linking the structure of the permeable pile wharf with vertical barriers: The correlative research productions are analyzed and summarized about the permeable pile wharf with vertical barriers, the factors are discussed which impact wave transmission coefficient. The wave transmission coefficient formula is ascertained with the method of theories, and the factors of space between pile and breakwater is considered. Physics model experimentation is carried through in order to investigate the rationality of theoretical formula and analyze the regulation of its influence. According as design condition and demand, it is studied which relative water depth t/d on breakwater affects to wave transmission coefficient K_t.The paper makes use of VOF method constructing the numerical wave channel, and has done a great deal of research on permeable pile wharf with vertical barriers in Dongying. The comparison is conducted between the proposed theoretical expressions,physical model experiment results and Wiegel,Kriebel formula by numerical calculating. The results indicate that the numerical wave channel can simulate the hydrodynamic factor of real projects, and the outcome of the experiment accords to the proposed formulas. When 0.00≤t/d≤0.65, the comparative error between the numerical calculation and experiment, the educed theoretical formula 2.38 and experiment result lies into 0.01~0.24; When 0.65≤t/d≤1.00, the comparative error between the numerical calculation and experiment, the educed theoretical formula 2.37 and experiment result lies into 0.02~0.13, it shows that the educed theoretical formulas are reasonable and the numerical calculation is reliable. The transmission coefficient calculation formula of the permeable pile wharf with vertical barriers in the paper can be referenced to satisfy the requirement of real projects to some extent.The paper gets the reflectance by making use of deuce method, calculates the level wave force on permeable pile wharf with the formula for traveling wave according to reflect wave height, and that compares the result with the result of experiment and wave press on vertical wharf, discuss reasonable analysis methods on wave press, and means about optimizing design.
