With higher demand for steel quality of steel works, lots of researches onconticaster mold vibration detection are conducted. The case that "mold detectiondemand and parameter correction" is set as study background of this article. Afterfully investigation for mold vibration detecting system both in domestic and abroad,analyze shortages of present detecting system, combine detecting demand of moldvibration detection, and then put forward a set of hand-held mold vibration detectingsystem. The system uses acceleration vibration sensor as application front-end, usesMSP430 and ARM7 architecture as hardware platform, uses embedded operatingsystemμC/OS-Ⅱfor upper-level task scheduling.The system consists two parts: lower-level position computer with dataacquisition system base on TI-MSP430, and upper-level position computer with dataprocess and display system based on ARM7 S3C44BOX. Serial communicationtechnology is adopted for data transmission between upper and lower-level positioncomputer. Signal acquisition and analysis are the center of system. Mold vibrationdetection is realized by collecting mold vibration signal, drawing amplitude andfrequency of vibration and display for vibration parameter.Upper-level position computer software design is expound in detail. Combinedwith characteristics ofμC/OS-Ⅱoperating system, multi-task, interrupt handle, taskcommunication methods message box and semaphore are adopted. This system hasfollowing advantages: friendly graphic interface, easy operation, powerful fuctions.Finally to improve practical working ability, design scheme and functions ofsystem, developer made numerous testing experiments for upper-level positioncomputer software. Experiment results proved that, in vibration signal detectingprocess system runs stably, can supplies accurate detecting results, and it has a goodapplication prospect.
