Train traction calculation can solve inter-city rail and urban rail transport in operation and design of a series of key technical issues. Such as: traction weight, speed and interval train operating hours, the train braking distance, braking speed, braking capacity and locomotive energy consumption. The resolution of these issues for network planning, selection and design of line, traffic and signal equipment layout, design and selection of motorcycles, motorcycle reasonable control, monitor the implementation of the train, develop safety regulations and accident analysis has an important role.The main content of this paper is the establishment about a multi-particle model of train traction calculation and simulation software on CRH2 electric multiple unit railcar set. First this paper analyzes the old calculation model at home and abroad, understanding the development process of traction calculation and future development trends at home and abroad, then, analysis the three foreigners: traction force, resistant force and braking force that play a role of train by the traction calculation studied, according analyzed the force about a multi-particle model such as CRH2 electric multiple unit railcar set, gives mechanical equation. Coupler force is fully solved by the establishment of motion equations and mechanical equation about a multi-particle model. Solved coupler force can analyze forces when the train moved on the ramp and curve rail, and reflects the true state of the train operation. It can provide the true data for the monitoring devices and ATP on the high-speed train.The latter part of the article designed a software about CRH2 electric multiple unit railcar set's train traction calculation. With the help of a multi-particle model, it was completed that design the software about CRH2 electric multiple unit railcar set's train traction calculation, and had received the satisfactory result after debugging.
