Many kinds of supply in practice are DC supply, such as storage battery, solar battery generator system, dynamoelectric system of wind energy and wave energy, And it is necessary to covert DC supply to AC supply because most of equipments are supplied by AC supply. For example, emergence electric light used in fire engine needs AC supply, but the only supply in fire engine is storage battery. So DC supply of storage battery is needed to be converted to AC supply of 220 volt, and the design of this kind of inverter power supply is mainly discussed in the paper.IGBTs are used in the supply to constitute Full Bridge invert circuit, and the circuit forms the main circuit of the supply with filter circuit which is composed by inductance and capacitance. At present, sinusoidal pulse width modulation which is so-called SPWM is widely used in inverter power supply. Most control circuits implemented by analog method are quite complicated and of poor performance because of its inadequate precision. ATmega8L microcontroller is used to implement the control function in the inverter power supply, so digital control both of the generation of SPWM signal and PI control is realized. In order to ensure the reliability of the supply system and make use of the powerful capability of microcontroller, monitor circuit is designed to detect the parameters of the supply such as input voltage, output current and temperature. Therefore, the supply has diagnosis function and can give sound and light alarm for its malfunction.The constitution and principle of the system is introduced firstly in the paper, and then hardware and software implements of each part are discussed. At the end of paper, output parameters of the inverter power supply such as voltage waveform and efficiency are analyzed. And the experiment result indicates that the goal is basically achieved.
