The Electronic interlocking system is a kind of computer controlling system which is used in the railway signaling field to control the signaling equipments in station, to keep the traveling safe and to improve the transportation efficiency. The COTS-based developing mode of high safety level fault-tolerant computer has been extended and used in safe controlling field. It is important to introduce this developing mode of COTS-based safety computing platform to electronic interlocking system.Based on the utilization and implement of electronic interlocking system, This paper has done these researching and designing woks as follows.1. Based upon related references and documents, the author summarizes the actuality and disadvantages of interlocking system developing mode, and presents the advantages and significancy of COTS-based SCP for Electronic interlocking system.2. This paper elects suitable COTS CPU, and designs a applied COTS-based SCP in structure of double 2-out-of-2 and the communication interface modes.3. Studying the Linux OS, this paper customizes the Linux OS used for this SCP, on which is based to design a SCP managing software including communication model, task-synchronization model and self-diagnosing model.4. This paper also analyzes the reliability and safety of this SCP based on the reliability theory, and researches the system real-time performance. The conclusion given proves the feasibility and favorable performance of this SCP.At last, the author presents some issues including the disadvantages and unresolved problems about this SCP to be expected to go deep into research and resolve.
