As a fundamental task of urban road transport construction,research on urban road capacity and its influence factors not only can determine the reasonable scale and construction mode of urban road construction,also provides more scientific theories foundation for urban road network planning,engineering feasibility study,urban road design,and evaluation after construction,etc.Through a review to the research present condition of domestic and overseas capacity,according to the real road transport conditions of our country urban road,the paper determines the research ideas and measures to establish the research system of capacity influence factors that is suitable to our country,through field survey data.Firstly,this paper introduces the classification of urban road,considers urban expressway and arterial road as the research object,separately describes their traffic flow characteristic,and gives the general steps to research urban road traffic flow characteristic:(1)collecting data;(2)processing and analyzing data;(3)establishing the traffic flow model;(4)recommending capacity.Secondly,about urban expressway,this paper makes full use of the data that the institute of Shanghai elevated roads provides.Processing and analyzing the field survey data of traffic flow moving state to establish the corresponding speed-density model,and to get Shanghai expressway recommending capacity.Through the method of mathematical statistics,the paper studies the influence factors such as lane position, lane number,lane width,road S line type and main line length,and some conclusions are given.About urban arterial road,the concept and model of equivalent capacity is proposed,based on experiment traffic engineering.The theoretic foundation,the method of field survey,the survey road choice and length determination,data collection,data processing and analyzing,and equivalent traffic flow model are suggested to get equivalent capacity.A method of integrating theoretic analysis and field survey is recommended to analyzing the effects of development intensity and bicycles on equivalent capacity,and some conclusions are given.In the finality,the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
