The vehicle capacity has become a clear sign of rapidly developing as the presentdevelopment of our country is getting faster.Road motor vehicles not only brought thedevelopment of economic life,but also the urban traffic problem.It has been badly inneed of solution that demand exceeds supply of traffic situation makes the urban roadcrowded. It has become the study object of many scholars.The entire city roadnetwork is composed of many different elements.The main road is the importantone.The operation of the urban traffic is affected by lots of joined up mainroads.Therefore,parameters of city traffic signal have been gived optimal controlfrom the perspective of the traffic management in this paper.It is hoped that it couldmake the whole trunk or even the entire urban traffic maintain vitality and reducetraffic jam.According to the present practical problems of the urban traffic,the backgroundand significance of the topic is introduced and the present studies home and abroadare reviewed.Then the basic theory of urban traffic signal control is introduced.Themain control method and the main system of the urban traffic are also described.Forthe traffic flow's characteristic of the saturated traffic state,the current optimizationmethod is analyzed,and the insufficient of the current optimization isfound.Determined under the saturated transportation condition take the roadintersection general quantity as the goal optimized method has been able most greatlythe effective alleviation city road intersection traffic pressure.By these trafficcharacteristics,the arrival,leaving situation and phase changing of the traffic flowin the main road system is analyzed and the collaborative control model that makesthe traffic capacity of the main road system as the maximum control target isestablished.Particle swarm optimization is described in this paper.Reference to thenatural selection mechanism from the genetic algorithm,and obtained PSO based onnatural selection.The model is solved through the PSO based on naturalselection.Compared with the genetic algorithm,this algorithm is much more superiorin the matter of the speed that to look for the optimal solution from the results.It'smore able to meet the traffic requirements on a timely and rapid performance.Underthe saturated traffic condition,the main road capacity is also improved effectively bytaking the maximum capacity as the target model.
