After completion of the configuration design in the mass customization, the effect of customized product assembly is rapidly showed, and the technicians could quickly analyze the configure products to judge the feasibility and the reliability of the pre-assembly. So speed up product time to market and increase the competitiveness of enterprises. For these intentions, the research and development on the digital pre-assembly system of double-wire machinery based on modularization is putted forward.Firstly, design methods of modular product configuration based on case are studied. The theory of module partition is studied. And the module interface matrix and data structure are established. After the configuration parameters of double-wire machinery are extracted. The mapping relations between the configuration parameters and module are established. Subsequently by studying the digital pre-assembled model, the information model of the products pre-assembly based on module are established. The thesis focused on the research of digital pre-assembly methods based on skeleton model. Firstly the thesis study the skeleton model based on product family. The functions of skeleton module are expatiated in the digital pre-assembly. After the skeletons of double-wire machinery are established, the modules of double-wire machinery are assembled by the skeletons. The rapid replacement model and driver size, which are the key technologies of the digital pre-assembled variant design, are elaborated. The assembly room location and spatial topology of a replacement module is determined in the entire assembly by defining reference tags. The relation between spindle and module of double-wire machinery is established by driving size. Finally the assembly interference check is studied. And the assembly of the product is analyzed in the Pro/E.Finally, by the use of Visual Basic6.0, Pro/E, Automation GATEWAY4.2 the system was developed. By taking double-wire machinery for example the system isvalidated.
