Switched reluctance motor (SRM) takes on the merits such as simple and tightness structure, small figure and weight, high stabilization, low cost, etc. Switched reluctance drive system (SRD) is a new drive system with high potential because of its flexible control. The previous application has been limited by the existence of schemes of SRD are always equipped with rotor position reliability sensor, which determines the system's high speed performance, and cost. As a result, how to detect the sensorless has become one major direction in the study of SRD.For the first, this paper introduces the development process and research actuality of the SR motor and SRD system. The characteristics of SRM and its control system's development are introduced; and some study of linear model with phase coil as fundamental parameter is presented and SR's linear model is set up. Second, it puts forward a rotor position estimation method based on the fuzzy model. The paper confirms rotor position indirectly using the inherent motor information, and establishes SRM fuzzy nonlinear model. The paper analyzes noise and error in the process of rotor position estimation. The author introduces methods of optimizing the fuzzy model and improving the position estimation precision. The simulation result shows that the position estimation method possesses good real time, strong anti-jamming capability and good robustness. Finally, it designs the SRM power converters and the system controller with TI Company's TMS320F24DSP as the core. The paper studies SRM on the experimental system.
