To follow the requirements of enterprise information construction development, Zhangjiakou power plant impels the application of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system in the entire factory scope by unifying this factory's own situation. This paper introduces the EAM system in Zhangjiakou power plant. The system is developed with the software product D7i of DataStream (USA) through system analysis against the plant's own characteristics, design of customized business workflow, and system optimization through application practice. The implementation of the EAM system in Zhangjiakou power plants has two stages, namely, materials management and equipment management. In this two-stage implementation process, Zhangjiakou Power Plant has drawn up 41 standard work processes by constantly optimizing the business management process. With the application of the EAM system, the enterprise is changing from function-oriented to process-oriented management.
