| With the new rural reconstruction advancement, there are more and more new houses in rural areas. But simultaneously, due to the inadequate concern over thermal environment and energy efficiency of house in rural areas, the thermal insulation of houses has not been improved. In recent years, it has become a trend that people need more air-conditioners and the energy consumption in rural buildings will increase greatly. As a result, the building energy efficiency in rural areas has become one of the important issues in the work of building in China. In the past, the research of energy efficiency in residential buildings mainly focused on urban buildings and little attention was paid to the rural residential buildings. It is extremely urgent to develop suitable energy efficiency measures to guide the construction of houses in rural areas. In this paper, we firstly tested the thermal environment of rural buildings in winter and summer each seven days and investigated the annual energy consumption in many houses in northern Hunan. It shows that the thermal environment of rural houses is generally very bad. The main reason for this is that the thermal insulation of building external envelope is poor, especially for the roofs. Based on the annual energy consumption investigation, it has been found that the energy structure and energy consumption level are closely related to local economic situation and resource environment around. Additionally, people's living habits also affect the energy consumption of rural house. As to the significant influence of the roof on indoor thermal environment in rural buildings, this paper focuses on the strengthening thermal insulation research of double-layer ventilated roof by experiment and simulation. The results show that the thermal insulation is improved remarkably by laying heat shelters in roof inter-layer and pasting aluminium foil on surfaces of roof inter-layer. And pasting aluminium foil is not only economical but also practical. In this way, daily mean heat flux on ceiling can decrease by 36.4%.In order to analyze the influence of pasting aluminium foil on surfaces of roof inter-layer on cooling energy consumption further, the cooling energy consumption of a rural building was simulated by EnergyPlus software. The result shows that the anti-radiation thermal insulation measure is most effectual to the double-layer ventilated roof with light structure over inter-layer and massive structure below inter-layer.Compared with the urban residential buildings, the energy consumption of rural houses has many special characteristics. However, there is no specific standard to guide the construction of house in rural areas now. The research results in this paper can provide reference for reducing energy consumption and improving indoor thermal environment in rural buildings. |
